Welcome to Harvest Land
Harvest Land is a diversified, progressive, farmer-owned cooperative. Headquartered in Morgan, MN, with locations in Springfield, Comfrey, Morton, and Wabasso, we offer a full range of products and services, including feed, grain handling and marketing, crop protection, precision application, fuels, and fertilizers.
Through our AgQuest and Northland Capital, LLC subsidiaries, we provide our patrons with a convenient source of financing, insurance, and leasing options.
We are committed to excellent customer service in all areas of our business, and as a result have become one of the leading cooperatives in the region.
Our history
Harvest Land was formed by the union of two successful area cooperatives—Morgan Farmers Elevator and Springfield Farmers Elevator Company, both established in 1904. From the early days, where small grains, corn, flour, and coal were the mainstays of the cooperative business, Harvest Land has continued to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of the patrons we serve.
That evolution gathered speed in the ’60s and ’70s, when Harvest Land’s predecessors first offered aqua nitrogen and anhydrous (1965), and entered the petroleum (1973) and propane (1974) businesses.
In 1989, Harvest Land began to explore new ways of doing business that provided strong financial support to the cooperative while offering more services to our customers. Live turkey production began in 1989, and in 1991 Harvest Land Financial (later AgQuest) was formed. Harvest Land entered the leasing business with Northland Capital in 1996. Most recently, Harvest Land and several partners in the Pipestone area built eight wind turbines for power generation in 2005.
At every point in the growth process, Harvest Land has improved facilities to maintain a high level of service. Notable examples are the 2004 110-car loadout project in Springfield, and the more than seven million bushels of grain capacity that have been added at that location alone since 2005.
If you’re looking for a progressive partner to help your operation grow, you’ve come to the right place. |
